An Aunt/Uncle, or Avuncular, DNA test is a good option to use to determine paternity when the father is not available for testing. An avuncular test will determine if a sibling (a full blood brother or sister) of the father in question is related to a child, and thus prove paternity.
The report generated by an avuncular DNA test will indicate the probability of relation. As siblings share roughly 50% of their DNA, a niece or nephew would share approximately 25% of their DNA with their aunt or uncle. Place your order below and our easy-to-use informational Avuncular DNA collection kit will be delivered to you by First Class USPS Mail (UPS Next Business Day available*). The kit will contain oral (buccal) swabs for each person that will be participating in the testing. The DNA samples can be collected at home by rubbing the oral swab on the inside of the cheek. Detailed instructions are included in every kit.
When you are done, mail it back to our accredited testing lab in the enclosed prepaid envelope for processing.
Your results will be finished and your paternity report will ready and be sent to you within 2-3 business days after receipt in our lab.
